Mindful in May – Monday 6 May
Monday 6 May, 7:30pm - 8:30pm
Join us for Neighbourhood House Week and be ‘Mindful in May’. Guided by Abigail Tamsi, this interactive class will help you to develop an understanding of how stress affects you physically, mentally and emotionally, learn to recognise its symptoms, identify what triggers your stress, and develop techniques to release it or minimise it. After all the hard work, experience a Deep Relaxation Guided Meditation to release all the tension in your body, feel peaceful within and have better sleep.
Abigail Tamsi has a passion for self-discovery and inner transformation. Her journey with meditation started in 2011 to help heal her anxiety and depression during a challenging period of her life. She has meditated daily ever since. In 2014, she discovered somatic therapy and energy healing which catalysed her personal development and brought her a deeper and more loving connection to self. The self-awareness, inner strength, open-heartedness and overall wellbeing of her daily practices continue to affect her life and her relationships in a very positive way. She is currently a single mum to two teenage daughters and while she is still a fulltime corporate professional, she is also a Reiki Master Teacher, Magnified Healing® Master Teacher, Embodied Inner Alchemy™ Women’s Facilitator and Practitioner, holds a training certificate from the Path of Self Love School’s Module Transforming Self Bullying + Self Sabotaging Habits into Self Loving Actions, and currently finishing her Certificate in Meditation and Holistic Human Development.
Mindful in May is a transformative one month online mindfulness program which brings together the world’s best meditation teachers, wellbeing experts and neuroscientists to teach you the tools to transform your mind towards greater well-being and happiness – all whilst giving you the chance to transform the lives of others living in poverty. Neighbourhood House Week is a nationwide initiative to celebrate the role of Neighbourhood Houses, community, resource and learning centres in the community. While our Houses do great work year-round, Neighbourhood House Week (NHW) provides a real opportunity for them to showcase their great work and extend their reach to those in the community who may not yet be aware of what their local Centre has to offer. In 2019, Neighbourhood House week will run from 6 to 12 May. Stay tuned for more details of upcoming Neighbourhood House Week events.
