This is a 9-week program starting 30 January running every Tuesday from 7pm.

Learn how to play beginner guitar in just 9-weeks guided by a local resident, Alan!  

In a group setting and building on previous weeks structured lessons you will learn practice drills, basic guitar chords and scales to a point where you can play a range of simple songs. Basic music theory will also be included. 

Each week you’ll learn something new including:  

• Holding a guitar, arm and finger placement 
• Finger exercises to assist in creating muscle memory 
• Practice drills for students to practice at home between lessons  
• Playing to a metronome 
• Basic chords, scales and music theory 
• Playing songs that you like (blues, rock, pop etc., the choices are endless! 

Class information 

Main tuition lesson: 60-minute classes are delivered in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere from 7pm to 8pm. Please note this program is suitable for 18 years and above. 

Guided practice session: There’s an opportunity to have a 30-minute guided practice on what you’ve learnt after each session if you’re willing to stay for longer.
