This group meets weekly every Tuesday from 5pm, excluding November 7.

Come along and chat with other women from the local Afghan community, catch up with friends, meet new people while improving your English skills.

Our supportive and experienced facilitator will guide you through basic English skills through conversation, listening, reading, and writing simple sentences. This encouraging and friendly class will include topics about the various ways we live and work in Australia.

The Afghan Women’s Group is an open, social, educational, and recreational group that addresses the needs of the local community. Women from the Afghan community attend this group to make new friends, share their stories, increase their knowledge to integrate into local society and participate in fun, social and recreational opportunities.

Being part of a group is an important part of human nature. Social connections and increased communication help boost a positive mindset and a sense of belonging.

These group sessions are delivered in partnership with Western Health and Stevenson House.
