This is a 6-week program starting 2 March, running every Wednesday from 10:30am.

ArtAbility is a facilitated art program open to culturally and linguistically diverse community members.

Participants will learn a range of art skills and work on art pieces for an exhibition that is open to the public (subject to Covid restrictions, date TBC). An example of what participants can expect to create each week is as follows:

  • Week 1– Introduction. Tips and tricks for drawing.
  • Week 2 – Collage of your dream landscape.
  • Week 3 – Alter-ego mask.
  • Week 4 – Painting Self-portrait.
  • Week 5 – Self-portrait continued.
  • Week 6 – Mosaics

All equipment and light refreshments provided.

This program is facilitated by ADEC (Action on Disability in Ethnic Communities) are specialists in supporting people from ethnic backgrounds, providing free programs to improve overall health and wellbeing and empowering people living with a disability, those who are frail, their families and carers.

To be eligible to participate in this program you must have been born outside of Australia and be willing to fill in a questionnaire at the start and end of this 6-week program. Assistance available.

Other Health Guidelines In line with the Victorian Government's Covid-19 vaccination rules, anyone aged 18 years and over planning to attend a Council delivered program held within councils community facilities must provide proof of vaccination status upon entry to the facility. Individuals with valid medical exemptions issued by an authorised medical practitioner and children aged under 18 years are excluded from this rule.
