Details
This is an 8-week program starting 22 July, running every Thursday from 12:30pm.
ArtAbility® is an inspiring visual arts program and exhibition uniting a range of talented artists who are living with a disability, those who may experience mental ill health and people who come from culturally diverse backgrounds. The program aims to strengthen the art and culture within our community, promoting positive values and principles.
ArtAbility® provides participants a chance to be seen as an artist by their peers, families and the community in general while promoting a message of ability rather than disability, strength in diversity and personal empowerment through engagement with the broader community.
All equipment and light refreshments provided.
ADEC (Action on Disability in Ethnic Communities) are specialists in supporting people from ethnic backgrounds, providing free programs to improve overall health and wellbeing and empowering people living with a disability, those who are frail, their families and carers.
To be eligible to participate in this program you must have been born overseas and be willing to fill in a questionnaire at the start and end of this 8-week program. Assistance available.
