Melton Young Communities and FreeZA in collaboration with The Exchange/Matchworks are hosting an International Women’s Day event at Cobblebank Stadium.

The event will target young, aspiring women from schools and local community groups with an aim to inspire young women as they explore career options in professional industries. The event will be run in 2 parts – a morning session with guest speakers and activities, and the afternoon session with an exhibitor set up where the participants will be encouraged to walk around and interact with industry professionals.

We have a range of exhibitors attending including the Australian Defence Force, Robogals, as well as some incredible guest speakers. There will be live music and some fun photobooth opportunities as well as light refreshments throughout the day.

The event is aimed at inspiring our young women to dream big, and break the glass ceiling in areas that have traditionally been under represented by women in the past. Whilst some areas of health services are women lead, others still are under-represented.
