Work with exhibiting artist Cassie Leatham and use recycled materials to weave a small basket using traditional coil techniques. Cassie will show you the basic steps to making a beautiful basket while yarning about Aboriginal food gathering and basket-use. Suitable for adults.

Materials required: For this workshop we will send you a small pack of basic materials, and you will need recycled ‘filler’ from home. Please see the following suggestions for household items you can use:
Filler: ripped rags, strips of fabric, wool, string, old nets e.g. ghost nets
Stitch thread:  wool, string, raffia, strips of plastic bags or newspaper.
