Learn how to make traditional Chinese lanterns and learn about Chinese art and culture in our lantern making workshop
Chinese lanterns were originally used as lamps, as a source of light and then commonly used during festivals to celebrate. Chinese lanterns are hung in homes near windows during festivals, and they can also be seen in the streets of both cities and rural areas in China during important festivals.
In this workshop, the instructor will take participants through step by step instructions to produce a paper lantern that can be hung up or placed in your home for decorative purposes.
Participants will receive a kit including all the art material required prior to the workshop so they can make the lanterns live during the workshop. To adhere to COVID restriction rules, the delivery is available to residents of the City of Melton only.
This workshop is suitable for adults.
