This NEW GROUP commences 27 April, running every Wednesday from 10.30am-12.30pm at Hillside Community Centre.

CommuKnitty Crafters from your living room to our community centres.

Council is looking for crafters who are 50+ to come along to Hillside Community Centre to either knit or crochet items for projects in need.

The initiative has been running for some time and has produced hundreds of items like teddies and blankets for organisations like the Peter Mac Foundation. The CommuKnitty Crafters initiative was previously delivered by volunteers in their homes. The hub is  designed to shift the project from homes into our centre in the hope to re-connect with others.

All are welcome to join the program, no matter if you were involved previously or not.

If you’ve got spare material at home and knitting needles that have gathered dust or have been hard at work, we’d love to host you for a cuppa and a natter as we craft for a cause.

Projects will vary depending on the need. Please bring your own materials & equipment.

Please rsvp below if you would like to attend this group.
