The Community Repair Café provides a free opportunity to meet people with an interest in tinkering and do-it-yourself repairs. It is a great way to build relationships, share knowledge and get to know people in your neighbourhood. Every month a dedicated group of volunteers ‘fixers’ encourage people to bring down their broken goods to connect and learn from one another, helping to reduce the amount of landfill, and creating a more supportive, connected community.
The Community Repair Café is a community driven project coordinated by Western Heath, working with a team of skilled volunteers to create a vibrant, welcoming space for the local community. A community-based project facilitated by the Western Health Services/Lend Lease and supported and co-facilitated with Melton City Council.
Soups are an affordable, hearty and healthy way to feed yourself and your loved ones. Join us for a fun morning of making delicious soulful soups. You will learn to cook a soup from scratch, share community home recipes or ones from google. Soups like creamy cauliflower and cheddar cheese, potato bacon and leek, and minestrone and also learn how to store/freeze homemade soup.
