Course Details

This is an 8 week program starting on 28 July running every Wednesday from 10am.

hey dee ho education services are delivering a full program for little ones at Fraser Rise Children’s & Community Centre. Each session in this interactive program features 30 mins of music followed by 30 minutes of physical activity.

In the first 30 minutes children will enjoy an educational music experience where the concepts of beat, rhythm, temp, pitch and dynamics are taught in a fun, play-based environment. This kind of learning aims to address:

  • Cognitive learning
  • Fine and gross motor skills
  • Visual and auditory processing and memory
  • Language development
  • Imagination and active role play
  • Social skills

In the second 30 minutes children will enjoy exploring and discovering their abilities through physical activity. Active 8 is a movement and sports skills program for children and addresses 8 key components including:

  • Sports skills
  • Aerobics and cardio
  • Gross motor skills
  • Strength and coordination
  • Balance
  • Dance
  • Spatial awareness
  • Health & nutrition

Concise educator support will be provided throughout the session to provide specialist programs for early learners. A parent/guardian must be present at all times during the session. This program is suitable for 0-4 year old children.
