Set your weekend up for success in our holistic Yoga and meditation program. Offering a calming, nourishing and grounding practice, our classes commence with a series of warming exercises and a gentle-flow of asanas (postures). Postures are carefully selected to best prepare your body and mind for the practice of pranayam (breathing) and meditation.
Learning the art of pranayama and meditation will help you to understand your body better, regulate your nervous system and improve the circulation of prana (vital energy or qi), which will support your mental, emotional and overall well-being.
This program is delivered by our experienced teacher Smita. In addition to being an accomplished and passionate yoga instructor, Smita has a bachelor’s degree in Homoeopathy and a Masters in Public Health. She brings a holistic approach to all of her teachings in order to support the connection between body and mind, physical and mental wellbeing.
This class is kept small allowing for individual attention. It is non-competitive and suitable for anyone, regardless of age or fitness level and caters for beginners through to advanced practitioners.
Please bring along a yoga mat to each session and wear comfortable clothing.
Notice of road works affecting travel to Taylors Hill Youth & Community Centre.
Melton City Council is duplicating Hume Drive between Gourlay Road and Calder Park Drive by increasing the existing two lanes to four lanes with a new road median. Works have now commenced and are expected to conclude early in 2025.
Works will take place Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm and Saturday between 7am and 3:30pm. During the works, our intention is to keep the road open to traffic but there may be periods of time where there are reduced lanes and delays occur. We encourage road users to allow extra travel time and to use alternative routes if possible.
