Details

Join Sarah, from Melton Personal Training, to learn about the benefits of strength training for women throughout all stages of life and why every woman should be exercising in this way.

Strength training refers to exercises and workouts that are designed to build the strength, size and endurance of your muscles. This type of workout can use just your body weight or free weights making it an incredibly versatile training style that can be adapted to suit any fitness level, space or available equipment.

Sarah will shed light on the importance of maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle, particularly focusing on the benefits of strength training for women. From bone density to hormonal balance, she’ll walk you through the myriad of benefits you can enjoy.

You’ll then be guided by Sarah through a quick and effective fitness routine that can be completed at home and easily incorporated into a busy schedule.

Suitable for women of all ages and fitness levels. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

This workshop is free to attend for women aged over 16 years who have a connection to the City of Melton. Notice of road works affecting travel to Taylors Hill Youth & Community Centre.

Melton City Council is duplicating Hume Drive between Gourlay Road and Calder Park Drive by increasing the existing two lanes to four lanes with a new road median. Works have now commenced and are expected to conclude early in 2025.

Works will take place Monday to Friday between 7am and 5pm and Saturday between 7am and 3:30pm. During the works, our intention is to keep the road open to traffic but there may be periods of time where there are reduced lanes and delays occur. We encourage road users to allow extra travel time and to use alternative routes if possible.
