Each year, Melton City Council delivers the Know Your City Orientation session which provides Council staff, service providers, and community leaders an opportunity to network, exchange resources, and information, and develop meaningful partnerships.

Each session is unique and is organised according to particular areas of interest e.g., employment, housing, etc. Participants are invited to meet in a central location within the municipality, where they are offered an opportunity to network over morning tea as well as hear from guest speakers. Each participant is provided with an information pack consisting of brochures from various organisations, a map, and a schedule for the day. Following this, participants visit different locations across the municipality. At each location they are provided with a tour of the premises and a presentation.  While driving to different locations, participants have the opportunity to see the City of Melton and what it has to offer. Participants are then returned to the primary location where a shared lunch and an opportunity to reflect on the session takes place.
