Details

This is an 11-week program starting 4 October running every Wednesday from 3.30pm.

Students in primary schools around the area are welcome to join the Melton Central Kids Reading Club program which focuses on the four pillars of literacy – reading, writing, speaking and listening. The Melton Central Kids’ Reading Club is delivered by the trained staff and helpful volunteers working with Vinnie’s Education Programs. The aim of the program is to help a range of students from various backgrounds, cultures and with differing learning needs.

This program assists students with literacy as well as general social, emotional and academic support.  This holistic approach helps to improve overall educational outcomes on a friendly and non-formal learning environment. The education program team aims to improve the learning skills and attitudes of students, increase confidence when interacting with adult volunteers and peers, encourage collaboration, promote social inclusion, develop a growth mindset and showcase best learning practices, while having fun at each of the different learning stations

All primary aged children welcome. All equipment supplied.
