This year Melton City Council is organising a small community tree planting event at Botanica Springs Children’s and Community centre to celebrate National Tree Day.

Established in 1996, Planet Ark’s National Tree Day has grown into Australia’s largest community tree planting and nature care event. Planting trees has many benefits for our environment including:

• Tackling climate change
• Cleaning the air
• Preventing soil erosion and improving water quality
• Creating and restoring habitats

Join us and help plant some trees and shrubs in our backyard. Then relax in our community space and participate in a sustainable craft activity and enjoy a bite to eat.

All materials provided we just need your enthusiasm.

Please wear gardening clothes and shoes.
