Join the Caroline Springs Community Garden and Springside Children’s & Community Centre for this exciting olive picking and preserving workshop.

Our group will meet at the playground on Boathouse Road before walking a short distance to a local street where we will be picking olives from trees growing on the street’s nature strip. Once our group finishes harvesting these beautiful olives, we’ll each make our own way back to Springside Children’s & Community Centre (25 Becca Way, Caroline Springs), where we will begin the preserving workshop.

At the preserving workshop, learn how to brine your olives so that you will be able to enjoy the rewards of your pickings. These olives, if not harvested, will drop, rot and sadly go to waste. Help us ensure these tasty morsels find their way into your home cooking!
