We at Djerriwarrh Community & Education Services are organising a Power Savings Bonus Community Outreach event on Thursday, 20 January from 10 am – 1 pm at Melton Central Community Centre, 239 Station Road, Melton.

If you’re eligible for the one-off $250 payment to assist households with the cost of living during the COVID-19 pandemic, we can help you with your online application.

All you need to do is:

  • Register with us at 03 8746 1000 and you will be given an appointment time
  • Bring along your recent electricity bill, bank account details and suitable concession card on Thursday, 20 January to Melton Central CC

You must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Be a residential energy consumer i.e. have a residential electricity account
  • Be receiving one of the following concession benefits:
  1. Centrelink Pension Concession Card
  2. JobSeeker, Youth Allowance, Abstudy or Austudy
  3. Department of Veterans Affairs Pensioner Concession Card
  4. Department of Veterans Affairs Gold Card

*Holders of Health Care Cards who are not recipients of Youth cap Allowance, JobSeeker, Austudy or Abstudy are not eligible.

Health Guidelines for this Event

Other Health Guidelines PLEASE NOTE In line with the Victorian Government's Covid-19 vaccination rules, anyone aged 12 years and over planning to attend a Council delivered program held within councils community facilities must provide proof of vaccination status upon entry to the facility. Individuals with valid medical exemptions issued by an authorised medical practitioner and children aged under 12 years are excluded from this rule. Masks are not required to be worn in Council facilities where physical distancing can be maintained.
