To celebrate Diwali, Council invites children to join us in a Rangoli inspired sand art workshop followed by a Bollywood dance lesson! While children enjoy crafts and dancing, parents and family are welcome to enjoy traditional sweets and tea whilst catching up with friends or even make new ones! This cultural experience welcomes all backgrounds and abilities.

Diwali, The Festival of Lights, celebrates new beginnings and the victory of light over darkness. The festival takes its name from the traditional Sanskrit word “Deepavali”, meaning the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that are lit to symbolise the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness.

Suitable for children aged 6-10 years and their parents/guardians/families.

This free event is expected to fill fast, book now to avoid disappointment.
