Course Details

Melton City Council in partnership with Victoria University (VU) Community Psychology is proud to support the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence campaign in 2021 with a series of online workshops.

Relationships of all kinds, no matter whether domestic, romantic, work or friendships, are important to our health and wellbeing. Maintaining a respectful nature within those relationships is key to keeping healthy relationships long term. In this informative webinar, learn about respectful relationships and how to build strong connections as we edge closer to the other side of the pandemic.

Join provisional psychologists from VU for this welcoming session to share your experiences on the topic and ask questions about how you can maintain respectful relationships. We encourage to view video prepared by Respect Victoria for this year’s 16 Days campaign as well as a video prepared by Council earlier this year that shows local people sharing their own anecdotes on the topic.

This session will be run as a webinar format, and attendance is anonymous. Feel free to submit any questions you’d like answered or any experiences you’d like to share anonymously, by emailing them through to [email protected] prior to the session, alternatively you are welcome to ask questions during the Q & A time during the session.

Please note: Questions relating to the easing of restrictions or vaccinations will not be addressed during this session. For any queries regarding restrictions and vaccinations please contact DHHS.

WHAT IS 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM?

‘16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence’ is an international campaign aiming to create awareness, and support action to end violence against women and girls. Each year the campaign begins on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. It will run until December 10, Human Rights Day.
