We’re celebrating Neighbourhood House week and you’re invited!

Learn how to prepare, make and pour your own soy candles using eco-friendly natural ingredients in this exciting workshop delivered by The Handmakers Factory.

Throughout the workshop you will learn about the equipment and materials required and where to buy them so you can confidently continue making beautiful eco candles at home. You will then be shown the step by step process for safely making your own soy candles including how to add oils at the correct temperature to achieve a beautiful scent.

Soy wax is used for this workshop as it burns cooler so it’s safer, burns up to 50% longer and is water-soluble so can easily be cleaned up making recycling possible.

Educational and interactive, this workshop is designed for eco-minded people who love working with natural materials. All materials and tools are supplied on the day and you will even get to take home your own samples.

This class is great for beginners but also for anyone who has tried candle making and wants to learn a little more detail from an experienced candle maker.

Neighbourhood House Week is an annual national celebration, recognising the important contribution over ‘neighbourhood houses’ and our community centres make in local communities across Australia. Learn more about Neighbourhood House Week: https://www.nhvic.org.au/nhw
