A free information forum for parents and educators of children with additional learning needs who are transitioning from kinder to primary and from primary to secondary
Have you ever thought…
What are the best schooling options for my child with additional needs?
How do I advocate for my child to ensure they have the best opportunities to learn, grow and thrive at school?
All children have their own specific needs and there is no one size fits all approach. So if you are considering what options are best to suit your child’s additional needs then this online information session is for you.
Information will be provided about the education options for children with additional needs, your rights as parents and students and, how to best advocate for what your child needs. Hear from a panel of experts on the following:
- Awareness: Know your rights and the policies and standards that can inform your child’s education
- Beginning: Get your child ready for their education journey
- Connecting: Connect to schools and peers – find out what support, services and information is available in your area
Please note: These workshops are made possible by a grant funded by the National Disability Insurance Agency
