Details

This is a 9-week program starting 15 July running every Saturday from 11am. Note: price reflects 7 sessions remaining for the term.

Yin Yoga is a slow, soothing, and meditative style of yoga that targets the deep connective tissues, joints, and ligaments in the body.

If we don’t use our full range of joint flexibility, our connective tissue tightens and shortens. This affects our mobility and movement and leaves us with aches and stiffness. Yin Yoga helps us to access our deeper tissues to promote flexibility and release tension in our joints such as the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.

During the class, your yoga teacher, Farran, will guide you through slow, deep stretches while teaching you how to breathe through postures and sit with your thoughts.

As an instructor, Farran adopts a relaxed teaching style and works to create a fun environment for her students away from the stresses of everyday life.  Farran develops her routines to ensure they incorporate the things her students enjoy and would benefit from working on.

This class is suitable for beginners and advanced alike and is the perfect addition to those that are currently practicing other styles of yoga to help round out your workouts.

BYO yoga mat. You may wish to also bring props to this class to help deepen and relax into the poses such as blocks, as strap, blanket or bolster.
