Details

This is a 10-week program commencing on 31 January running every Monday from 11.45am. No class Monday 14 March.

This Hatha inspired yoga class is designed to align and calm your body, mind and spirit through exercise, breathing and relaxation.

Delivered by an experienced and passionate yoga instructor, Alicia’s classes provide an opportunity to stretch, unwind, and release tension while strengthening and promoting flexibility in the body. Classes start with a gentle warm up, followed by a series of guided poses, postures and breathing practices and end with a short period of relaxation to quieten the mind and rejuvenate the body.

Poses in this class will include standing and seated postures, balancing and lateral and forward bending, all benefiting different areas of the body. All poses can be modified to make them suitable for your unique body and individual requirements.

You will also practice breathing exercises and learn how to link postures with breath. A process that can help you to become more aware, and perhaps be more in control, of your breath.

Yoga is a well-respected practice than can provide many health benefits, including improved flexibility, posture, strength, sleep quality, concentration, focus, cardiovascular health and reduction in stress and anxiety.

Suitable for women of any age and ability. Please bring along a yoga mat to each session.
