Neighbour Day 2023

Neighbour Day was was launched in Melbourne in 2003 as an opportunity to ‘check on your neighbour’ and is a year-round campaign with a dedicated day-of-action celebrated on the last Sunday of March annually.

This year Council is celebrating Neighbour Day at a number of community centres around the municipality with free morning teas and activities for the whole family!

This annual day of celebration, organised by Relationships Australia, is a social connection campaign that aims to support and enable sustainable respectful relationships across communities, while also helping to address loneliness across the nation.

We look forward to celebrating with you to mark this special milestone whilst strengthening our connections with you and other locals. Bookings are required.
