Our Approach

Djerriwarrh is a leading not for profit community provider working closely with individuals, families and their communities to provide opportunity, direction and self-sufficiency.

We do this by:

  2. Providing access to high quality youth support services.
  3. Supporting individuals to re-engage with education, training, employment, family and the broader community.
  4. Responding and adapting to community needs.

L2P Learner Driver Mentor Program

This program is ongoing. Learner drivers and mentors can apply at any time.

Eligible young people are offered a number of professional driving lessons. Then, with the generosity of a volunteer supervisor mentor, the young person can obtain 120 hours of driving practice in a vehicle supplied by Djerriwarrh.

Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program

FREE language, literacy and numeracy training. The Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program is a FREE training program for anyone aged 15 – 64 years who is a registered job seeker with Centrelink.

Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP)

AMEP classes are offered both within and outside of business hours and a variety of part time options are available. Students can join an AMEP class at any time. There are no set start and finish dates. Classes do not run during school holidays.

The Adult Migrant Education program (AMEP) is funded by the Australian Government and provides up to 510 hours of FREE English language lessons to eligible migrants and humanitarian entrants. In an AMEP class you will learn English language skills and information about Australian society.
