The Melton City Council Learning Directory Team are proud to announce that we are a Neighbourhood Houses Victoria award finalist in the Gender Equity category! Our project, delivered via Timbertop Children’s & Community Centre, aimed to generate awareness about gender equity in a respectful, positive and culturally sensitive manner to bring about behavioural change. The project materialised into a ‘What respect means to Melton’ YouTube video and a community art competition. Watch the video here: https://youtu.be/o594-IxMC5I
Although we didn’t win this time, being recognised amongst a plethora of inspiring organisations and projects across the state is an achievement to be proud of. You, our community, are the real winners in this project, we hope you continue to enjoy and benefit from these exciting projects as we continue to deliver them.
