CHANGE OF VENUE DUE TO WET WEATHER – Now being held at Melton Central Community Centre, 239 Station Road Melton
Come along to this combined craft workshop to learn about and try the ancient art form of macrame as well as the Japanese craft of Kokedama!
Through learning just a few basic macrame knots, you will be set to create a key chain or small plant hanger while seeing examples of other projects that can be created out of rope.
Alongside this, you will have the opportunity to create a Kokedama to go with your pot hanger. Kokedama, known as ‘the poor man’s bonsai’ involves binding up a plant using dirt and twine to make ideal indoor hanging plants. We will demonstrate how to create these and how to care for your plant afterwards.
This workshop is free, however, bookings are essential. Book your free space via this webpage.
This initiative is part of the Melton Town Centre Revitalisation Project. Learn more about the project via Council’s website.
