This is a 4-week program starting 18 July running fortnightly on Mondays from 2pm.

Would you like to enter our MTC Community Art Competition competition but don’t have a space to make and store your art? Come down to Melton Central Community Centre’s open studio! Our purpose-built art rooms are the perfect place to let your creative juices flow.

Bring down your art supplies or use some of ours, to produce some amazing art works to enter into our competition, with all pieces entered being displayed on the competition entry page on the Melton Conversations website. Winners in the competition will be announced at our City of Melton Lifelong Learning Festival launch event on Friday September 3 in the Melton Town Centre! We can even store your artworks for you until launch day. Winners in the competition will win a share in over $1400 worth of prizes as well as having their artworks displayed in local business shop fronts!

Four sessions are available for you to come and work on your project. Local artist Stephanie Bell will be at the studio from 4-6pm on 18 July and 1 August to run free art skills workshops and give you a hand developing your entries. On Monday July 18 you will have the opportunity to explore watercolour techniques and on Monday August 1 you can learn about creating an acrylic collage!  To register for these workshops visit the separate Melton Learning Directory listings for Watercolour Techniques and Acrylic Paint Collage Techniques.

For more information on the competition, go to the Melton Conversations website.

So, bring your creativity and ideas to Melton Central Community Centre and join in the artistic fun.
